The Ha Noi Food Culture Festival 2018, the first of its kind, will take place in the capital city from October 5-10 with an aim of introducing Ha Noi’s cuisine legacy to locals and tourists alike.
The festival will recapture cultural spaces of craft villages associated with outstanding Ha Noi food such as Ha Noi Pho, Thanh Tri steamed roll rice pancakes, Vong and Me Tri green rice flakes, Quan Ganh rice cake, and Uoc Le pork pies.
A photo exhibition on Ha Noi now and then, its cultural history and cuisine will also be held. It will introduce a code of conduct in public areas in the capital.
A major stage will feature exchanges with artisans and researchers on Ha Noi cuisine as well as folk games to help tourists better understand the value of Ha Noi cuisine.
Visitors will also have a chance to enjoy food cooked in traditional ways.
The organising board hopes that the event will contribute to promoting tourism in Hanoi in particular and Viet Nam in general.
