Sapa is a beautiful mountainous region located in northwestern Vietnam. Famed for its picturesque terraced rice fields, the region is a real rural highlight and well worth taking the short day journey (or overnight train) from Hanoi to get there.

Timing is crucial – October is the best time to visit Sapa!

October - It is harvest season, and the terraced rice fields are at their most beautiful. Great motivation for you to arrange work and participate in conquering the beauty of terraced fields in the season of ripe rice.

Weather Sapa Vietnam in October

Sapa in early October is quite good for tourism. At these times, the weather is relatively stable with sunny days and cool nights. It is dry, clear with much sunshine. The view of Sapa's terraces is at its best between September and October. And it also is the best time for trekking.

If you want to make the most out of your trip to Sapa, plan it carefully and choose the right month depending on what you want to see and do. We have visited Sapa in May and we were really disappointed that we didn’t have the chance to see the rice terraces. However, we loved our trip to Fansipan Mountain and Love Waterfall.
