Pongour Waterfall - Da Lat, Lam Dong, Vietnam

Nga Do
Lam Dong Province is a tourist destination in the Central Highlands popular for its pure air, lush pine forests, colorful flowers, magnificent waterfalls and a very romantic Da Lat. There are many waterfalls in Lam Dong including Cam Ly, Prenn, Voi, Pongour, Datanla, and Dambri.

The Pongour waterfall is located at a deserted area, 40km from Dalat. Tourists will reach the eco-tourism site of Pongour waterfall, which was recognized as a National-level beauty-spot on 13 April,2000.

Enjoy pristine nature at Pongour waterfalls, a popular tourist destination and place for many religious festivities. Dropping across a cascade from 40 m (131 ft), the water pours over a layered and terraced wall of rock which reduces its force making the scene look tame and poetic. According to a legend the waterfall silky streams were once hair of a beautiful beast tamer and slabs of rock were fossilized horns of her four obedient white rhinos. The waterfall stretches some 100 m (328 ft) amidst lush greenery and cicada sounds.

Observe the falls from a restored royal pavilion if you do not want to walk. To visit Pongour Falls on your holiday in Vietnam, and find out what else Lam Dong has to offer, use our Lam Dong trip itinerary planner .
