As a long stretch of road about 20 km with 1,200 meter altitude, Ma Pi Leng Pass is located in the Dong Van Geoparks which is recognized as the global geoparks. The Pass the “Happiness” road connecting Ha Giang, Dong Van and Meo Vac town, being famous for the “King” of the Vietnam’s pass or Great Wall of Viet Nam or the Pyramid of the Meo.

Scenery in Ma Pi Leng pass is unique with majestic and wild beauty. Looking to the north and northeast, thousands of gray mountains concatenate to the horizon. Next to the road is abyss and the Nho Que River in the below. Standing on the top of the Ma Pi Leng pass, you will feel the splendor of nature. November 16th 2009, Ministry of Culture, Sport and tourism of Viet Nam decided to classify Ma Pi Leng area as scenic relic of Viet Nam.
The pass is well known for providing a clear winding road from the mountain to another mountain. This is probably the reason visitors are often called Ma Pi Leng is the king of the most dangerous stretch of road in Viet Nam.
