Unique tour in North Vietnam 5 days will take you from the mountain to the bay, the most beautiful landscape of Northern Vietnam. With a short 5 days trip but we have a chance to discover the life style of the hill tribe , the terraced rice field in Sapa as well as the world heritage sites of Halong bay. If you do not have much of time, this tour is made for you.

Day 1. Hanoi Arrive

Up on arrival in Hanoi, we will be welcomed by Vietnam Typical Tours car and driver, transferred to hotel in the city center, check in and relax. Overnight in Hanoi.

Day 2. Hanoi City tour – Night train to Sapa

8.00: After breakfast at the hotel, we will pick you up from your hotel take you to visit the Ho Chi Minh Complex, which includes Ho Chi Minh’s Mausoleum – the final resting place of the beloved national hero, Uncle Ho – and President Ho Chi Minh’s stilt house where he lived off and on from 1958 to 1969.

9.30: You will visit the One Pillar Pagoda, which is actually a group of structures that collectively make up a pagoda built over the water in the middle of a square lake.

After that, you will have a chance to explore the Tran Quoc Pagoda on the shore of west lake. From there, it’s onto the Temple of literature, which was Viet nam’s first university and is dedicated to Confucius.

12.30: You have lunch at the restaurant in the Old Quarter. Afterwards, you’ll visit Hoan Kiem Lake – the heart and soul of Hanoi.

Afternoon, you will stop in at MUSEUM OF ETHNOLOGY.This superb museum showcases the depth of Vietnamese cultural diversity with an astounding collection of 15,000 artifacts gathered from throughout Vietnam. Maps, displays and dioramas are labelled in Vietnamese, French and English. Displays portray a typical village market, the making of comical hats and a Tay shamanic ceremony; videos show the real thing. You can also check out a traditional Black Thai house reconstructed in the museum. There’s also a centre for research and conservation where scientists from all over the world study traditional Vietnamese cultures.

15.30 – 16.00: Take the car come back your hotel.

Tour ends at hotel around 17:00, we have a shower at hotel before being picked up and transfer to train station for our night train to Sapa.

Overnight on train. there are 4 soft berth sharing cabin (wooden air conditioner cabin)

Day 3. Laocai – Sapa – Cat Cat – Sin Chai

06h00: Pick up at Lao Cai train station to Sa Pa by bus. Arrive in Sa Pa in the mid-morning, then have breakfast and relax at hotel, after that the guide takes you to visit Cat Cat. It is a small but bustling village situated at the foot of Fansipan Mountain. Here you will see traditional Hmong homes at their best, and you will be able to meet a Hmong family to learn more about their way of life. The village is also the perfect place to see traditional clothing being made, hemp being dyed and women weaving. From Cat Cat we will follow the Muong Hoa Valley for 3km through rice terraces and small dwellings to Sin Chai. This village is a little off the usual trekking route and less visited, but offers the opportunity to see traditional wooden homes built using the indigenous Pumu tree. Transport will be waiting in Sin Chai to take you back to Sapa.

Overnight at Sapa Unique Hotel or similar Deluxe hotel

Day 4. Sapa – Lao Chai – Ta Van – Night train back Hanoi

After breakfast, the guide takes you to the villages of the H’mong and Dzay called Lao Chai and Ta Van.The day is devoted to a beautiful hike through the breathtaking scenery of Sa Pa valley. Start by road that descends in the wake of the street Cau May (6 km) En route, admire the rice terraces hidden behind mist of the morning, a truly awe-inspiring sight.Follow a small track and cross Muong Hoa River and pass well tended rice terraces on your way to the Black Hmong village of Lao Chai.

Continuing through the colorful rice terraces you will reach the village of Ta Van Giay. As you continue your trek along the Muong Hoa River you will cross a small suspension bridge, roughly 2km from the settlement. Here you can discover a fascinating collection of rock carvings. These engravings depict some beautiful images of man, stilt houses and some beautiful decorative patterns. We lunch in a home in the village. After lunch the walk continues through a bamboo forest to visit Red Dao ethnic minority village. After taking a rest nearby a waterfall to refresh, you start climbing uphill to a road where the car is ready for your journey back to Lao Cai railway. Overnight on train.

Day 5. Hanoi – Halong Bay

You arrive in Hanoi station around 05.30am. Our team will pick you up and transfer you to our hotel. You will have breakfast before Halong Bay Tour.

08:00 AM: Ideal for those with limited time, the full-day tour starts with a pick-up in Hanoi and a drive through the Red River Delta. Stop en route at a local handicraft center to purchase some unique souvenirs, such as lacquer work and silk items.

12:00 AM: Upon arrival at Halong City Pier, climb aboard your cruise boat, where a welcome cocktail will be waiting. Set sail across the bay to see some of the islands and islets with names such as Incense Burner, Stone Dog, and Fighting Cock, the last the symbol of Halong Bay. The upper decks offer stunning views of the surrounding scenery.

After lunch, visit the Thien Cung (Heavenly Palace) Cave to marvel at the stalactites and stalagmites of the grotto. Enjoy an optional kayak tour, or swim off peaceful beaches if time allows. Along the way, there will be ample opportunities to take beautiful photos of the rock arches, sheer cliffs, white sand beaches, and peaceful coves of the islands.

Cruise back to Halong City Pier at 17:00 for the 3.5-hour bus transfer back to Hanoi. The northern expedition ends there.
