Quang Binh Cave Festival 2017 to open in mid-June

The central coastal province of Quang Binh plans to organize the opening ceremony of its cave festival with an artistic performance at Bao Ninh sea square on June 17.

On this occasion, various programs and activities will be held in the locality to promote the natural resources and tourism products of the Kingdom of the Caves to attract more tourists.

The programs and activities include a press briefing to introduce the festival on June 5; inauguration of tourism routes, destinations, accommodation establishments and new services from June 1 to 30; surveys on tourist attractions to develop products through Cat Bi - Dong Hoi air route from June 17 to 20; marching, sailboat and kayak racing and sporting activities and underwater tourism at Nhat Le Beach from June 11 to 22; Quang Binh - Hai Phong tourism and culture exchange programs from June 15 to 20; and a journey program back to the old battlefield on June 18.

In addition, music performances, street art and EDM Beach Party will be held.

According to the Quang Binh provincial People’s Committee, from June 1, the Ha Noi - Dong Hoi air route operated by Vietnam Airlines, Vietjet Air and Vasco were launched in order to meeting the increasing travel demand of tourists.

In the first five months of the year, Quang Binh received and provided services to more than 81,000 tourists, up 111% compared to the same period last year. Major tourist attractions include Dong Hoi City, Vung Chua - Yen Island, Phong Nha - Ke Bang National Park, Chay River - Dark Cave and Heaven Cavern.
