Dalat is a famous tourist city. It is known as the Spring or Flower City of the country. The rich climate, abundant natural resources and humanity help the city attract millions of visitors every year. After a quiet period of the 1980s, Da Lat tourism has changed dramatically in recent years. As a Little Paris, the dreamed and poetic Da Lat thanks to the cold plateau at night. It is amazing in the early morning for foggy and the pine forests surrounding the city. Tourism is a strength but also factors that change Da Lat in the direction of urbanization.
Cu Lan village is named after a local plant species that flourishes between the rows of pine trees. Cu Lan is also the Vietnamese word for a sloth that lives near the village. Cu Lan is a small lovely villlage (about 30ha), located under the foof of Langbiang mountain, about 20km from Xuan Huong lake. This beautiful village is covered by a large prestine forest, near a murmorous shalow stream. The whole view creates a wonderful green paradise.
Entering the village, tourists will feel the peaceful, prestine, pure and stunning beauty. You totally forget the tiredness and harmornise with the nature, with green forest, charming pine hill, the babble of the stream, fresh lake, flower gardens and small cute houses. The combination among wild nature, poetic landscapes and exciting daily life of local people will blow your mind away and take your breath.
Standing on top of green stone steps paved on the path that winds its way up the hill side, we looked down and saw a small, peaceful commune of the ethnic K’ho people with a stream nearby amid a forest of blooming flowers. Located in a flat area, covered with green grass, it is seen as the “heart” of Cu Lan Village. Rows of stilt houses stand next to each other where the local ethnic people are living.
There are a lot of entertaining activities that you can join, such as walking through the village, rowing on the lake, jeep tours, fishing, camping in the wood, ridding horses or visiting Chom Hom market.
A cultural resort as Cu Lan will be an ideal place for a meaningful journey in Flower City – Dalat!
