How friendly are you Vietnam?

Nga Do
An international website for expats across the globe has named Viet Nam as one of the friendliest countries in the world. Internations.org surveyed 13,000 people living in countries away from their home to ask which is the best place to retire.

And out of 65 destinations, Viet Nam ranked 10th.

So we took to the streets to find out just how friendly Viet Nam is to those here on vacation in Vietnam.

“I wouldn’t be surprised if it was number one,” said Ashleigh Moloney from Ireland.

“I was quite surprised when I got here, such a warm welcome at the airport. I only arrived a few nights ago and since then I have been so overwhelmed how nice people are.”

Norwegian Marianne Vika added: “A lady knocked on our door, she didn’t speak any English, but she had a big bowl of fruit for us.”

Internations is a network for people who live and work abroad. They interviewed people from 188 different countries about a number of issues including quality of life, personal finance, cost of living and how easy it was to settle in.

Of the 65 countries ranked, Portugal came out top while the US was in 36th place. VNS
