Mau Son Mountain in the northern province of Lang Son is considered a paradise for ‘snow hunters’. With an altitude of 800-1,000 m, it is one of the coldest regions in Vietnam. Mau Son is considered as an area with potential for ecotourism development with the advantage of climatic conditions, natural landscapes, values of pure ethnic cultural identity of ethnic groups living here. Tay Con Linh in Ha Giang province delights visitors with its spectacular views of ice crusted forests and mountains carpeted with snow. Tay Con Linh is a mountain peak in the west of Ha Giang province. The mountains stretch from two provinces, Hoang Su Phi and Vi Xuyen, far 46km from Ha Giang city. With the height of 2419 metres, this is the highest peak on East- North and one of the highest peaks in Vietnam. Road to Tay Con Linh peak is quite hard. Only coming here in the winter, tourists can’t definitely forget the moment immense forest covered by white snows.

 With an altitude of 1,930m above sea level, Phia Oac Mountain is viewed as the roof top of Cao Bang province. Phia Oac is a new destination for tourists. French built luxury resorts for their soldiers. Nowadays, some ancient castles are still preserved to visit. Especially, travelling in the winter is an impressive experience for tourists.
