Ninh Binh Province is famous as the home of top tourist destinations Trang An and Bai Dinh pagoda. However, in recent years, the province has also become known for another attraction - Thung Nham - an area abundant in natural beauty.
Thung Nham is located in Ninh Hai Commune, Hoa Lu District, which is surrounded by the limestone mountain, valley and caves. There are many accommodations, restaurants and playing ground for team building activities. There are two main ways to reach Thung Nham Resort, tourists can travel by boat to the But Cave or bus to Thung Nham.
While Trang An, Tam Coc – Bich Dong are the destinations which have become familiar, Thung Nham is still a relatively unfamiliar name for visitors coming to Ninh Binh. Thung Nham in Ninh Binh is also known under the name Thung Chim, it is the home of thousands kinds of bird. Travel to Thung Nham bird valley, you will be immersed in the wild and nature, enjoy fresh atmosphere and quietly listen to thousands birds are singing.
Here are some destinations in Thung Nham that tourists can’t ignore: But Cave (having plaster stone fairy man statue, no light), Vai Gioi Cave (having 3 cave floors with many fanciful stalactites), Bird Garden Area (wetland, thickset tree and birds). Moreover, there are Tien Ca Cave, Thuy cung Cave, Fruit Garden and moving banyan Tree.
Tourists should go to Bird Garden late about 5pm because of the time of coming back of birds after earning a living. However, tourists can also visit at 2 – 3pm if they don’t have time.
