Quang Ngai provincial People’s Committee has agreed to launch a walking street along the coast of Ly Son Island.
Accordingly, the walking street with the length of 3km stretching from Ly Son High School to Ly Son Wharf will be decorated with lights and trees. Besides, surrounding areas of the walking street will be filled with super markets, night market, cuisine area, intangible cultural heritage space, etc.
In recent years, thanks to spectacular landscapes, unique traditional festivals and valued sea island sovereignty documents of the country, Ly Son Island has become a popular destination for visitors.
In 2016, Ly Son received over 164,000 tourist arrivals, including 900 international arrivals, earning approximately VND100 billion from tourism.
The project is expected to help diversify tourism products, lure more visitors to Ly Son Island and develop local tourism sector.
