Enjoy the Special Flavor of Quang Noodles

Quang noodle – Mi Quang is known as one of the most famous dishes of Danang. The soul of a Quang noodle bowl is created by the thick, hard and rough rice noodles as its features. 

There is no fixed recipe for making this dish. It is diverse in styles: spare ribs Quang noodle, snakehead Quang noodle, eel Quang noodle, fried crab Quang noodle, etc. However, the traditional ones is Quang noodle with shrimp, chicken, egg or pork. Especially, roasted peanuts and toasted sesame rice paper are indispensable components of this kind of noodle. Unlike the other kinds of Vietnamese noodles, Quang noodle is served with just a little broth.

Eaters mix all ingredients in a bowl. Beside is a soup bowl which is simmered from delicious pork bones and crushed shrimp. Cashew nuts are added to make the broth viscous and more attractive. 

Quang noodle is served with raw vegetables such as young mustard green, fresh lettuce, basil, bean sprouts, laksa leaves, coriander, sliced banana flower, etc. All is mixed to create unforgettable moreish taste.

Quang noodle is sold at Hoang Dieu St., Phan Thanh St., Trung Nu Vuong St., Hoang Hoa Tham St. till 9 a.m. or 10 a.m. It is sold throughout the day in some streets such as Nguyen Huu Tho St., Nguyen Cong Tru St. The price range is between 13,000 and 25,000 Vnd per bowl depend on sizes. Further rice cracker is 3,000 Vnd per sheet. 

Quang noodles is considered a typical dish of Quang Nam - Da Nang and the specialty that any visitor will want to enjoy when going to Da Nang.
