On the occasion of the 41st anniversary of Southern Liberation and National Re-unification (30/4/1975 - 30/4/2016), the Management Board of Viet Nam National Village for Ethnic Culture and Tourism, in coordination with localities, will organize a festival to featuring the cultural space of the markets of the northern uplands region’s markets from April 30th to May 3rd
The festival, titled “Returning to Dien Bien”, will include over 40 pavilions highlighting local special foods from the ethnic minority groups of Mong, Dao, Thai, Muong and Kho Mu, who reside in the provinces of Dien Bien, Ha Giang, Lao Cai, Bac Kan, Hoa Binh and Nghe An.
Besides, a number of other activities such as ethnic folk games, folk singing and dance performances featuring the culture and daily life of ethnic minority groups in the Northwest and the Central Highlands will also be held during the festival.
