This is a national park with friendliness and closeness which is general house of many familiar animals like 31 species of mammal like: apes, monkeys, wild boars, deer, civets, squirrel, etc. in which having giant black squirrel and about 70 species of bird including eagle, hornbill and cuckoo. Yellow- headed apes in the park is listed in red book. Besides, flora of Cat Ba National Park is very abundant with thousands of plant, in which having 118 kinds of plant. Cat Ba National Park has needle tree which is a special and rare wood.
When arriving in Cat Ba National Park, besides exploring various ecosystem in the park, you can visit Trung Trang Cave. However, you should contact with the park’s manager to definite information about opening time.
