Nga Do
It is no coincidence that terraces become the famous tourism publications of the northern mountains of Vietnam that everyone wants to experience and explore at least once in their lives.

Rice terraces created by talented and diligent ethnic farmers, have remained there for hundreds of years. That's slopes claimed from nature for cultivation in hilly. Due to the steep feature, fertile soil thanks to it was created by weathered granite rock and mountain cliffs often stock water, local ethnic minority people can grow rice and establish terraced rice fields, one after another, from the foot to nearly top of mountains. Therefore, terraces are indispensable in Sapa trekking tours.

The terrace fields of Sapa have many, but most notably Ta Van, Hao Thao and Lao Chai villages of Sa Pa district located in Muong Hoa valley. This is the largest and most beautiful terraced field in Sa Pa with a total area of nearly 1,000ha.

Lao Chai – Ta Van villages is located beneath the valley, the two sides are the majestic Hoang Lien Son and Ham Rong mountains, surrounded by Sapa rice fields at the lower area. These Vietnam rice fields extend to the door of the locals here. The fields look like the stairs connecting Lao Chai with the mountains to immerse in the clouds to the sky. The rice terraced fields here are gentle, unlike other places. The terraced fields follow closely which look like the huge landscape paintings with curved lines of talent painter.
