Appropriate time in Sapa is 3 days 2 nights, or 2 days 1 night. I think if you have time, spend 3 days 2 nights to fully enjoy the beauty of this paradise. Because at least it took you about 5 hours to travel from Hanoi to Sapa (1 way). Of course, if you have less time, the 2-day-1-night journey can still be done but you only stop at a few outstanding attractions.
