There are a lot of gorgeous places in Ha Long Bay that will surprise you. This UNESCO World Heritage site is a dream come true for nature lovers, photography aficionados or anyone who loves stunning scenery and crystal blue waters.

The Chopstick, Ti Top island, Bai Tu Long Bay, Lan Ha Bay, Co To island, Vung Vieng fishing village are just few of the wonderful destinations in Ha Long Bay, Lana O’sullivan wrote in an article published on The Jakarta Post, an Indonesia daily English language newspaper.

The writer has named the Chopstick the number one destination among the best nine places across Ha Long Bay. “Possibly Ha Long Bay’s most famous landmark, the Chopstick is a karst peak that protrudes from the water at a height of around 40 meters. Its long, thin shape is what gives it its moniker,” The Jakarta Post wrote.

The Chopstick is followed by Ti Top island, Bai Tu Long Bay, Lan Ha Bay, Co To island, Vung Vieng fishing village, Tuan Chau island, Ban Chan beach, Sung Sot cave.

Earlier, the Ha Long Bay in Vietnam's northern province of Quang Ninh has been ranked third among the six beaches around the world that naturally glow, according to a list released by Reader’s Digest, a US general-internet family magazine.

Ha Long Bay is one of Vietnam’s most popular tourist destinations, but it’s not just because of its infamous limestone islands covered in verdant rainforests. “At night, boat tours take people out on the water to see the bioluminescent glow. When each swimmer splashes, the blue-green light from the algae emerges,” Reader’s Digest wrote.

In 2017, Quang Ninh welcomed a total of 9.87 million tourists, including 4.28 million foreigners, according to Quang Ninh provincial Department of Tourism. The province aims to attract over 12 million visitors in 2018, including five million foreigners.
