Always the first stop of tourists, Hanoi capital is an attractive destination for tourists. Beautiful Hoan Kiem Lake is the living cultural, historical, and spiritual heart of Hanoi and it’s a “must see” place to visit. The ancient Old Quarter is a wonderful place to wander, with its maze of small streets and jumble of shops. Historically, the unique architecture, the temples partly speak of the richness of Vietnamese culture. Buy a glass of freshly brewed beer at one of the many open-air bia hoi’s and hear the bells selling bread, conversations and laughter from the regulars who come here to discuss everything from sports to major business deals. It’s a unique way to immerse yourself in Vietnamese daily life.

The old French hills station of Sapa has been delighting visitors for more than a century. The town is surrounded by the craggy “Vietnamese Alps,” including 10,312-foot Mount Fansipan, the highest mountain in the country. The slopes of the mountains around Sapa are famous for their terraced rice paddies, tended to by colorfully dressed ethnic minority people who look as though they are straight out of a National Geographic magazine.

Ha Giang is located in the northeast of Vietnam, a 6-hour drive from Hanoi. It is a spectacular part of the remote, mountainous region of Vietnam’s far northeast. Spectacular terraced rice paddies climb to the summits of the surrounding mountains, extending beyond the horizon. Explore the unique limestone terrain that is said to be the deepest canyon of Southeast Asia with 22 ethnic minority tribes, pristine lakes, pine forests, stone forests, caves bristling with undisturbed formations, and incredible waterfalls are just a few of the many treats that await the intrepid explorer.

Ba Be is Vietnam’s largest natural lake and the heart of Ba Be National Park. The park and the surrounding area is limestone country, so lakes, waterfalls, caves and unusual rock formations abound. The whole area is richly forested and is home to many ethnic minority communities. Ba Be National Park has been recognized as a Natural World Heritage Site by UNESCO. This tour offers you a fun adventure at a comfortable pace with plenty of time to enjoy the magnificent surroundings.

Other than the peaceful, romantic Ba Be Lake, Ban Gioc waterfall attracts visitors by the majestic falls flowing. Ban Gioc Waterfall is one of Vietnam’s most impressive natural sights. Located in the northeastern province of Cao Bang, the falls are 30 metres high and 300 metres across, making Ban Gioc the widest (but not the highest) waterfall in the country. The falls occur on the Quay Son River, a beautiful jade-blue body of water flowing from China through a pastoral landscape of rice fields and bamboo groves surrounded by limestone pinnacles. Despite improved road access and public transportation connections, and the popularity of several recent viral drone videos showcasing the majesty of the falls, Ban Gioc is still a relatively off-the-beaten-path sight.
