Sand Paradise for travelers in Mui Ne

Nga Do
Mui Ne – the impressed name just like the land itself, is called “sand paradise”. Splendid sand hills, pure blue sea and delicious seafood are the great advantages that few places can compare to.

The beauty of sand

Located about 22km north-east of Phan Thiet City, Mui Ne beach is considered as one of the most beautiful beaches in Southeast Asia with blue sea and vast sand hills. In the sunny weather of the Central of Vietnam, the suitable time for visiting this place is about 7:00 to 8:00 am, when temperature is from 25 to 27 degree Celsius.

The White Sand Hill is dazzlingly white while the Yellow Sand Hill is more resplendent and whenever the rain fall down, the sand turns into dark red – a unique color that only nature-the great artist can create. They have found 18 different shades of colored sand in Mui Ne, enough for sand painting artists to create stunning picture with special colors that cannot be mistaken with any artificial color palette.

Sand skiing in Mui Ne

After contemplating the immensity and grandiosity of nature, tourists can enjoy many games in the sand, such as sand skiing, or look for strong feelings with 4-wheels sand sleds. Thin plastic sheets can be hired in a cheap price, 10.000VND per sheet and you can use it as much as you want.

After that, you can visit many famous destinations in Binh Thuan like the illustrious beach of Ganh Son, Ta Cu mountain, Suoi Tien (Fairy Stream), Bau Trang (White Lake), etc. Ganh Son Beach, which is located in Chi Cong commune, Tuy Phong district, is like a mountains-water painting drawing by marvelous strokes of nature. On one side, dark red sand hills raise up like it was shaped by time while deep blue sea is on the other side. Besides, the Po Sah Inu Cham tower heritage, 7km to the North-east of Phan Thiet, is also a not-to-miss landscape. The towers were built by Cham people at the end of 8th century to worship god Shiva, who is highly venerated by the Cham.

One thing that anyone who wants to play sand skiing should notice is that you had better ask your family or friends to keep you small belongings, such as mobile phone, wallet and keys because those things can easily fall out while you’re skiing and to find them back is kind of worrisome.

Enjoy delicious food

Mui Ne is not only known for its beautiful seashore and poetic sand hills but also attracts tourists with delicious seafood. There are many local eating places that offer delicious dishes from seafood: banh canh cha ca (a kind of Vietnamese noodle soup with slices of fish cake); dishes make of vegetable and available raw fish like mai fish, suot fish or duc fish; deep fried loi fish in pork grease; grilled squid teeth; grilled rice paper with mam ruoc (a kind of Vietnamese shrimp paste), etc.

Previously, tourists often go out to the beach in the early morning to choose their preferred seafood, which have just netted by fishermen, then ask the cooks of resorts to do the cooking. But now, a number of resorts in Mui Ne organize “seafood market” right in their campus. Shrimps, crabs, squids, dong fish, tuna, scallops, anadara subcrenata… will be carried to the resort in the morning by fishermen and after that, the freshest materials will be selected and pre-processed for servicing customers at 6:00 pm each day.
