Con Dao Islands - one of the most peaceful islands in Asia

The website of CNN has recently announced the list of top 12 crowd-free Asia island escapes where own unique traditional cultures and unspoiled landscapes. Con Dao Islands of Viet Nam is also included.

Con Dao is an archipelago of 16 large and small islands belonging to Ba Ria – Vung Tau Province. According to CNN, Con Dao is the great destination with coral reefs, palm-shaded beaches, rainforest trails and luxury beach resorts. This is hailed as the paradise for outdoor activities such as scuba, snorkelling, fishing, etc. Especially, from May to October, visitors can watch sea turtles lay their eggs, while the infants hatch and scramble into the sea. In addition, to Con Dao Islands, visitors have the opportunity to learn about Viet Nam’s revolution history when visiting Con Dao Museum and the prison relic.

Besides Con Dao Islands, the list of the 12 most peaceful islands in Asia also includes Koh Rong (Cambodia), Pangkor (Malaysia), Lampi (Myanmar), Andaman (India), Palawan (Philippines), Tokunoshima (Japan), Raja Ampat (Indonesia), Ulleung-do (Korea), Koh Phayam (Thailand), Samosir (Indonesia), and Hokkaido (Japan).
